So far this year GCC has:
Produced a new season of the COMMUNITY TALKS podcast, including adding a video version.
Facilitated discussion of five frequently banned or challenged books through our “Freedom to Read ‘Em” book club.
Started a scholarship program that will award two $1,500 scholarships later this month
Hosted the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center for a community education event called “LGBTQ+ 101.”
Supported a showing of “The Exchange - In White America: Kaukauna & King 50 Years Later.”
Attended community events including “We are the Drum MKE” and a screening of the documentary “1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture” at the Milwaukee Film Festival.
