Germantown, WI February 7, 2022 - The Germantown Community Coalition (GCC) is excited to announce we have received a Major Grant from Wisconsin Humanities. Our project supports Wisconsin Humanities’ mission to strengthen the roots of community life through educational and cultural programs that inspire civic participation and individual imagination.
This grant will allow GCC to continue working toward our mission through efforts such as:
Our first educational series,
Bringing community members together to better understand neighbor’s lived experiences, and
Creating safe spaces for sharing and discussing difficult topics.
To support this mission, the GCC has partnered with Nurturing Diversity Partners to bring their Equity Fundamentals Workshop Series to Germantown. Nurturing Diversity Partners fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion within institutions and communities. They educate groups about the history, sociocultural dynamics, personal and interpersonal skills, and organizational practices that build an equitable society.
March 7: How Did We Get Here? The Challenge of Racial Disparities
April 11: Unconscious Bias: Can We See Our Own Blind Spots?
May 9: From Good Will to Good Work: How People of Conscience Can Create a Just Society
